 CHRISTCHURCH VISIT

On Thursday 27th of September the pupils of 5th and 6th classes and their teachers and helpers of St Saviours N.S. travelled up to Dublin on a bus to attend Christchurch. On the way into the church each pupil was given a one cent coin. The service was to mark the start of the new academic year.
The archbishop of Dublin and Glendalough Rev Michael Jackson led the service. Rev Garth Bunting gave the address. He told everyone how to pray using a one cent coin. There were many hymns such as Father I place into Your Hands, I’ve got a Home in Glory land and you Shall Go Out With Joy.
St Andrews N.S. Lucan sang an Irish song and Kildare Place N.S. in Rathmines mimed the actions to a hymn.
