Charlesland Track and Field Event 9th May 2017

On Tuesday the 9th May the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes pupils travelled to Charlesland, Greystones to participate in the annual Track & Field event. It proved to be a great day all round, the pupils did fantastic and the weather was perfect. The teachers are very proud of the pupils who participated today.


Yesterday, Tuesday 9th May,  3rd to 6th classes travelled by bus to Charlesland to compete in athletics. There was lots of different sports such as sprint, long distance, relay, long jump, high jump and tug o war. We all had great fun. As a team 6th class girls won 1st place in tug o War and there were some individual medals won as well. We were lucky it was such a nice sunny day. We all had great fun.

We were at Charlesland yesterday it was great fun. We got to play with other schools aswell as do our own races.

6th class girls Tug o War team came first. I came second in the heat of sprints and 4th in the second heat.
I was first to clear the high jump bar, we all had a great day.

Yesterday 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes went to Charlesland. Our team cam efirst in the Tug o War. Grace, Isabel, Calantha, Laoise, Anna, Lily, Alannah-Bel, Tara, Nadia and myself. We had great fun.

Yesterday, I was very anxious, I liked all the events I took part in, I lost but it was fun, the important thing is to take part & have fun. It was cool, I played and I got no medal, but won some new friends.
