Senior Room School Tour Friday 17th June 2016
The 5th & 6th class went on their school tour on Friday 17th June to Eco Adventure Centre Enniskerry. They had a fantastic day.
Here are some accounts of their day.

Our School Tour

We got into school at half past eight on Friday morning. we were in school for about 10 minutes. then we got into pairs and got on the bus. the parents were Catherine, Karen, & Mrs Lawson our teacher and Claudia, classroom assistant. It was a 40 minute journey to Eco Adventure Ireland. When we arrived we met the people in charge. They were Spanish. First we had a 20 minute snack and split ourselves into two groups. in my group we had Catherine and Claudia. First we played a fun game altogether and then grass sledging, night line challenges, low ropes and then we went back up the hill for a fourthy minute lunch break. the fun game was everyone (even the parents & teacher) got in a big circle and got into pairs . One person stood at the back and one at the front. the people in charge gave us four numbers which each had a thing we had to do. if you did the wrong thing you were out. Grass sledging is when you're in a little sledge on tracks which was pushed down a grassy hill. Night line is when everyone was blind folded and was walking through a forest holding on to a rope. Low ropes is when there was two ropes which had two people had to hold hands and walk side ways across them. After lunch we went to do archery, paintball, obstacle course and then chaos. Archery was when we were split in two and we had to see which team got the most points. My team won but then we had a re match and the other team won. Paintball is when we had to shoot a load of glass bottles which had scores. Then we did the obstacle course when we were put in pairs and the first person had to run through the course without being caught by the second person. Chaos is when we were split into teams and one person on each team was blind folded and had to find the tennis ball. My favourite activity was grass sledging. the we said "thank you" and "good bye" to the people in charge. we got on the bus and went to Apple Green Garage to buy sweets. I got a lollipop, Hershey bar and Millions. We got back on the bus and went back to school for our parents to collect us. I had an amazing, brilliant and exciting day, probably my favourite school tour yet!!

Our School Tour

On Friday the 17th June, 5th and 6th class went to Eco Adventure Ireland in Enniskerry. We set off at 9 o'clock from our school. We got there at 10 o'clock and had a snack we then walked down to the big grassy field and played a game. Our leaders was spanish and he called out numbers and we did actions. I was with Grace and we came 3rd. we then split into 2 groups. My group did grass sledging first, grass sledging was when you got in a little red sledge which had tracks under it. we sped down a hill. it was so fun. we then went back to the hostel for a break. We came back split back into our groups and we swapped. we then went into the woods to do the night line. we all put blindfolds on and took hold of a rope and had to walk down it. it was hard because there was logs and brambles and stones that pulled at your legs and clothes. after we ran over to the archery , we all learned how to point and direct the arrows then we had our own go. I got lots of yellows and reds, we then swapped so I did paintball, paintball was easy to hit and we did a competition and our group halved. Our group won by 35 points, Yes!!!
We then all go get lunch and went back to the hostel. When we came back we did the obstacle course, it was fun. Then we played a game called chaos. It was really cool. I loved our school tour this year.

My School Tour

We went to Eco Adventure Centre Enniskerry. When we arrived there we had a snack. After our snack we got our helmets on and did glass sledging. It was a sledge with tracks on it. we had to push each other down a big hill and then we pushed somebody else.
After that we did the night line challenge. It was where we had to hold on to the shoulders of the person in front of us with the other hand held onto a rope and navigate ourselves, next we did paintball. We had to shoot bottles that were on a plank. it as really cool.
When we finished that we did archery. it was also very good fun. After archery we did the obstacle course it was quite hard.
Nicholas won that game and set the record for the fastest run around. My favourite activity as the paintball. I really enjoyed this years tour because I had never shot anything in my life. I had a brilliant time on our tour.

St. Saviour's N.S Sports Day '16 was held on the 23rd of June and here are some accounts of the fantastic time the pupils had.

Sports Day 2016

On Thursday 23rd June we had an amazing sports day and bake sale, which I'm surprised we didn't have a stitch form all the treats we had! At around quarter past 12, we started and our parents started to arrive. we were put into mixed teams from all classes. We started off with class races, then we had fun races such as obstacle and fill the bucket.
Overall, we had tons of fun, a great excitement filled atmosphere and were blessed with a sun shine filled day.

Sports Day

I really liked doing the class races, the top 3 got points for their team. we were split up into inter class teams. to recognise  what team we were on we had  two coloured stripes on our cheeks. we also did team relay races, some of them were: sack race, egg & spoon race, & obstacle course. It was great to see everyone encouraging each other on. The atmosphere was great and we were very lucky with the weather as it was so hot. I was on the white team and our team came first, in second place the orange team and in third place the blue team.
The winners got laurel wreaths made by 3rd & 4th class so it was like the Olympics because back when then whoever won got wreaths also. I really enjoyed this years sport day, it was brilliant.

On Thursday 23rd June we had our Sports Day. we did class races first and then we did teams. We did sack races, hoop races, egg and spoon races, obstacle race and fill the bucket. Each team had a colour and the people on that team have to put facepaint of the their colour on their face. It was a really fun, sunny day and everyone had a great time. The funnest bit of it was doing the sack racing. the adults and toddlers even got to race. Mrs. Lawson even joined in the hoop race.
