On the 15th of June 2012 the author Gillian Perdue visited our school.She visited our school because  we had been reading her book Adam's Starling in our classroom.She told us about her inspiration for the book which was fear.We all talked about out fears such as the Boogieman and the closet monster.She then told us about her other stories such as Conor's cowboy suit which was based on her little brother Conor and another of her books called Salvage girl which took four years to write but she was unable  to publish it.
We were then all made to do some drama, we acted out the funny parts in the book which we all enjoyed because it was very funny. we all enjoyed the visit and had a lovely time reading the book.
